\"Ellen<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ellen Verbakel<\/strong> is Full Professor in Sociology, Chair for General and Theoretical Sociology. She studies the interplay between family, work and well-being with a specific focus on informal caregiving. She is an expert in using quantitative comparative methods to detect and explain country differences by national policies and normative climates. Recent work includes studies on determinants of informal caregiving as well as well-being consequences of informal caregiving. Gender and socioeconomic inequalities are recurring themes in her work.
